- (18 Years or older) who would like to ask questions and get answers so they can make an educated and informed decision about becoming or being a Catholic. It is also for Baptized Catholic adults who need to complete their Catholic lives by receiving the Sacrament (s) of: Eucharist, Reconciliation or Confirmation and for anyone interested in continuing education in Catholicism. We offer information about the Catholic faith without any pressure to join. Please contact the St. Joseph Parish Office at 936-344-6104 or RCIA Coordinator Keith Musgrove at 832-671-3527 for more information. Or just show up-“walk-ins” are always welcome. Classes are held in the Conference Room of the Parish Office Building (South end of the parking lot across from the Church)

31st Sunday In Ordinary Time: That we may joyfully share the abundant gifts God has given to us. “But Zacchaeus stood there and said to the Lord, ‘Behold, half of my possessions, Lord, I will give to the poor, and if I extorted anything from anyone I shall repay it four times over.’” Luke 19:8 We are all called to gratefully give back to the Lord in proportion to the gifts we have been given. This means everyone isn’t called to give the same amount, but everyone is called to give equal sacrifice. Open your heart and talk to God about how you use your money. How is God calling you to be more generous with your financial resources and possessions?

Que podamos compartir con alegría los abundantes dones que Dios nos ha dado. “Zaqueo se levantó y dijo: ―Señor, voy a dar la mitad de todo lo que tengo a los pobres. Y si a alguien le he robado, le devolveré cuatro veces lo que le robé.” Lucas 19:8 Todos somos llamados a devolver al Señor con gratitud en proporción a los dones que nos ha dado. Eso significa que todos no somos llamados a dar en la misma medida, pero todos somos llamados a dar el mismo sacrificio. St. Vincent de PaulVehicle Donations NeedsIn the area which we serve, the lack of dependable transportation is one of the major issues of concern we face. Because of this, many of those we serve are significantly limited in their ability to find and keep jobs sufficient to support theirfamilies.
As there is no public transportation in our area, our SVDP Conference is embarking on a mission to try to address this issue. We are requesting donated vehicles, no matter their condition, and gifting them to eligible families for work purposes.
The SVDP Conference will cover all expenses for any repair needed and all of thetitle and registration expenses and fees.

En la zona que atendemos, la falta de transporte confiable es uno de los principales problemas que enfrentamos. Debido a esto, muchas de las personas a lasque servimos tienen una capacidad considerablemente limitada para encontrar y mantener un trabajo suficiente para mantener a sus familias.

St. Joseph Parish Mission Statement
St. Joseph Catholic Parish Community of New Waverly, Texas, originating from Polish families and submitting to the authority of our Holy Father, the Chief Shepherd of the Church, and under the direction of the Cardinal of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston and guidance of our Pastor, appointed by the Cardinal, is a close, diverse and growing family of Baptized believers.
Our Prime mission is to respond to our baptismal call to live and spread God’s good news in scripture and our valued traditions through the celebration of the Sacraments of the Church instituted by Jesus Christ, especially our Sunday Eucharist, which inspires all within the parish family to draw together into the body of Christ.
We recognize our sacred duty to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ and Christian values, to share our faith with all especially the young and the non-believers, and to assist those who need our help and compassion while working towards sanctification and eternal salvation through God’s grace.
